Architectural Panel Forming (APF)Architectural Panel Forming Co. (APF) specializes in the fabrication of metal wall shingles, flush panels and standing seam roof panels for standing seam metal roofing. Wall shingles and flush panels are fabricated in our facilities in Austin, Texas, according to architectural specifications and sent to your job ready for installation either by your personnel or our personnel, if so desired. Standing seam metal roof panels can be fabricated on site by our personnel (no power source required) or prefabricated at our facilities in Austin, Texas and shipped ready to install, on your standing seam metal roofing job by your personnel.
APF does not do installation of roofing panels, but can fabricate on or off site for your convenience. On site fabrication is advantageous in eliminating dimensional errors, shipping damage, short shipments and scrap losses. It also eliminates the cost of packaging and freight and makes it possible to adjust the width of panels to meet non- standard conditions. |

Commercial Roof PanelsThe UL-90 rated standing seam panels are our premier commercial roofing panels and are the choice of Architects, Engineers and General Contractors all over Texas.
APF machines are UL-90 rated up to 22 gauge galvanized and 20 oz. copper as well as equivalent aluminum and zinc metals using the 2” leg structural panel design (APF 2000-1 Panel). Our panel widths range from 12” to 24” with leg heights of 1 1⁄2” (APF 1500-1 Panel) and 2” (APF 2000-1 Panel) and are available in three different panel profiles. Seamers are available for both 90 degrees (Single Lock) and 180 degrees (Double Lock) to handle slopes as low as 1⁄4:12. Panels come in either “flat bottom” or striation beads.
The 1 1⁄2” Standing Seam panel is recommended for slopes of 1:12 (4.9 degrees) or greater and may be applied with or without sealant and seamed 90 degrees or 180 degrees. Panel load tables and ASTM E0283 and E-331 air and water test results are available.
The 2” (APF 2000-1) Standing Seam panel is recommended for slopes of 1⁄2:12 (2.4 degrees) or greater and may be applied with or without sealant and seamed with single lock (90 degrees) or double lock (180 degrees). Air and water tests are available to meet ASTM. U.L. 90 rated: 18” wide panel with 90 degrees seam, 0.024 (24 gauge) Grade D steel over open purloins 48” O.C. UL construction number 298.
